Types of filler injections
1: Calcium Hydroxyapatite: a safe substance that does not cause complications, is temporary in use, meaning that its results last for about a year only, and gives a natural appearance to the injected area.
2: Hyaluronic acid: an easy-to-inject substance, which is the main substance in our cartilage, which is treated and reused in injections and gives excellent results that last from 6-12 months.
3: Body fat (autologous fat graft): that is, we use the patient’s fat by suctioning a small amount of fat from some areas (the most important of which are: the flanks, buttocks, abdomen, thigh), and then this fat is re-injected into the areas to be repaired, and this method is characterized as It lasts a very long time, knowing that we cannot use it on the breasts and lips.
4: Other substances: such as collagen – poly lactic acid – polyvinyl alcohol.
Anesthesia and duration of operation
- These operations are usually performed under local anesthesia, and do not take more than 30 minutes.
Post-operative advice
- Drink enough water (to keep the skin hydrated).
- Use a sunscreen to protect the skin.
- Do not put pressure on the face.
